Walk descriptions
Some examples of our walks
We will choose the walks on a daily basis depending on the weather and the overall fitness of the group.
Lady Mary’s Walk
Lady Mary’s walk is one of Crieff’s easiest, yet finest walks along the tree-lined banks of the river Earn.
Comrie and Glen Lednock
This lovely walk starts in Comrie, a small village beside Crieff. We take a small path through ancient oakwoods which winds its way up into steep-sided Glen Lednock. On the way we visit Deil’s Cauldron, an impressive waterfall and climb to a celebrated viewpoint over fertile Strathearn.
Choinneachain Hill
Difficult to pronounce but this is a fantastic walk taking you into some wild mountainous scenery in the hills above Crieff. Involves climbing 450 metres but it’s not too steep!
Crieff to Comrie
A varied route with stunning panoramic views over Strathearn leads us to the remains of a prehistoric Stone Circle.
Crieff Highland Games
The Highland games are always a highlight in the Crieff Calendar. This year we will have the chance to visit the games during the August date and watch unusual Scottish sports such as tossing the caber, throwing the hammer, tug of war, Highland dancing and Pipe band competitions.
